3、n this unit. They have made great contribution to society and have changed the way we live. Ask them: Who do you think is the great person in history? Step 2 Comic strip 1. Watch the video and answer three questions. (1) Who does Eddie think is the greatest person in history? (2) Does Hobo know who
4、Paul Yum is? (3) Who is Paul Yum? 2. Read the conversation after the tape. 3. Practise reading the conversation in pairs. 4. Ask some pairs to act in front of the class. Step 3 Welcome to the unit 1. T: Paul Yum is an inventor. Do you know other inventors? Present the picture of Thomas Edison and sa
5、y something about him. 2. Play a guessing game: Who is he/she? - 2 - (Show the pictures of some famous people and ask Ss to guess who he/she is.) 3. Finish Part A and then read the words. 4. Ask Ss to say something about the famous people in Part A. 5. Finish Part B. 6. Check answers and read new wo
