1、Unit 9 My favorite subject is science. 一、单元教材分析本单元围绕“谈论自己所喜欢的学科”这一话题,展开形式多样的听、说、读、写学习活动。主要学习一周中星期一到星期天的表达方式;掌握学科的表达;学习用 because 和表示品质的形容词表示理由;学习 what,why ,who,when 引导的特殊疑问句。通过本单元的学习使学生学会谈论自己喜好的学科或自己喜好的其它事情并给出理由;学会说出一周的七天;学会合理地安排自己的作息时间。二、单元学情分析本单元的主题是“谈论自己所喜欢的学科” ,主要是学习学科的表达、表示品质的形容词、一周中星期一到星期天的表达方式
2、;学习用 because 表示理由。在询问“对方所喜欢的学科和人物” 、 “星期几”时,要使用以前所学过的 What、Who 疑问句,再学习“询问理由”所用的 Why 疑问句。教师可引导学生通过比较、对照的方法掌握所学疑问句的结构和使用以及回答。三、单元教学建议本单元采用自主学习、小组合作探究、Imitating and repeating,Practicing,Comparing 和 Role playing 的学习策略,利用教学图片、幻灯片或制作多媒体课件来展开课堂 Pairwork 问答式的口语交际活动或调查活动,谈论各自所喜欢的学科或其它的事情并给出理由。本单元的教学法建议:语音教学:
3、模仿操练;词汇教学:演示讲解、情景操练、反复使用;口语教学:互相操练、对话练习、交际活动;阅读教学:回答问题和填空练习;听力教学:听音选词、写词和整理、完成对话;写作教学:补全对话、模仿写作;语法教学:总结规律、比较异同、模仿操练。四、单元课时分配本单元可用 4 课时完成教学任务:Section A 1 (1a-2d) 用 1 课时Section A 2 (Grammar focus-3c) 用 1 课时Section B 1 (1a-2c) 用 1 课时Section B 2 (3a-Self check) 用 1 课时 Section A 1 (1a-2d)一、教学目标: 1. 语言知识目
4、标:1) 能掌下列词汇:favorite, subject, P.E. science, music, math, Chinese, geography, history, why, because, Monday, Friday, Saturday 2) 能掌握以下句型: Whats your favorite subject? My favorite subject is science. Whats your favorite day? Its Monday. Why do you like P.E.? Because its fun. Hows your day? Its OK.3)
5、能就所喜欢的科目这一话题进行问答交流,正确表达自己的情感。4)能听懂有关所喜欢的科目相关话题的听力材料,并获得相关信息。2. 情感态度价值观目标:此部分的学习内容贴近学生的学习生活,谈论的话题是喜欢的学科。通过互相询问和谈论彼此所喜欢的学科,可以增进同学之间的了解和友情并培养学生热爱学习、热爱科学的思想和良好的学习、生活习惯。二、教学重难点1. 教学重点:1) 掌握学校科目的相关词汇及部分周几的表达方式。2) 学习询问和谈论别人或自己喜好的学科并给出理由。3)What,Who 和 Why 引导的特殊疑问句的构成和使用。2. 教学难点:1) 学习询问和谈论别人或自己喜好的学科并给出理由。2)Wh

Look at the pictures and answer the questions.T: What fruit do you like best? = Whats your favorite fruit?S: I like bananas.= My favorite fruit is banana. Presentation1. T: What subject
7、 do you like best? Or we can say “Whats your favorite subject?“. (Write the two sentences on the Bb.) Whats your favorite subject? My favorite subject is English. Ss read after the teacher and try to remember the conversation. 2. What other subjects do you like? Now lets learn other subjects. (Show
8、the picture of Chinese book)Teach Ss “Chinese“, then teach Ss other subjects by showing pictures on the screen. (P.E., art, science, math, geography, history)3. Then listen and put the conversation in order. Ss read the four sentences, then listen to the recording and put them in order.

My favorite subject is science. favorite 是形容词,意为“最喜欢的,最喜爱的”,相当于 like best。如:Her favorite fruit is strawberries.= She likes strawberries best. 她最喜欢的水果是草莓。favorite 前面常为形容词性物主代词或名词所有格。如:Her / Lindas favorite colo
21、r is yellow.她(琳达)最喜欢的颜色是黄色。favorite 还可作可数名词,意为“特别喜爱的人或事物”。如:Jackie Chan is my favorite. 成龙是我最喜欢的明星。3. I like Monday because I have P.E. and history. 此处 have 与学科名称搭配,表示 “上某一学科的课”。例如:We have P.E. on Tuesday and Thursday.我们周二和周四上体育课。在第五单元出现了 have 表示 “有;拥有”的用法,have 还可以与其他名词搭配,表示不同含义。例如:have a class/ les

Because its relaxing. 因为它很令人放松。汉语中的“因为 所以”常常连用,但在英语中 because 和 so 不能同时连用。如:The book is very interesting, s
