2、uld/ should/ could/ might +动词原形。If places were a like, there would be little need for geographers. 如果各个地方都一样，就不需要地理学家了。b 虚拟过去时是表示与过去事实相反的假设，if 从句的谓语形式用过去完成时即 had过去分词，主句用 would / should / could / might + have +过去分词。If he had known your address yesterday, he would have telephoned you. c 虚拟将来时是表示对将来实现的

3、可能性很小的或不确定的假设。If 从句的谓语形式用一般过去式或用 were to / should +动词原形，主句用 would / should /could/ might +动词原形。If he were to leave today, he would get there by Friday2. In fact，the room was not made to be a gift. 事实上，琥珀屋制作的意图不是礼物。英语中有些动词，若其宾语补足语是不带 to 的不定式，变为被动语态时，该不定式前要加“to“。此类动词为感官动词。feel, hear, help, listen to, look at, make。4. In 1770, the room was completed the way she wanted it. 1770 年琥珀屋按照她的设想完成了。the way 前面可以补上一个 in，way 的后面可以补个 that 。
